A Duck called Brian by Al Murphy- new window display at Bags of Books.

Al Murphy visited Lewes recently to create a window display at Bags of Books, in celebration of his brand new picture book, A Duck Called Brian.

He brought with him loads of fantastic hand-painted wooden cutouts of Brian and his friend Gregory. Al spent the day expertly painting, arranging and generally filling our shop with giant blue and yellow ducks. (They make great photo opportunities by the way) We had great fun choosing which ducks would be displayed – so hard to decide, they were all so great. In the end we settled on our favourites, and put them just about everywhere.

Then Al signed his books with terrific drawings and messages, (a different one in each book, we were impressed) and left us with some stickers to give away with each purchase.

About A Duck Called Brian

Al’s new book is a brilliantly silly story that guarantees laughs. It is about Brian (of course) who is a blue duck in a world of yellow ducks. And he is searching for his best friend, Gregory. The book is filled with bright illustrations that are packed with personality and humour. There is also a  super-fun search-and-find element throughout the book.
