Thornbird, a New YA Thriller by Elle Kennedy July 7, 2026 – Posted in: Book News, Recommendations – Tags: ,

I was determined to have a productive day today,

well thanks to Thornbird by E.Kennedy that very much isn’t the case. Unless you class permanently reading due to the inability to physically stop, put this book down and walk away? It’s a YA thriller so technically it’s work/research/training is it not?

Perfect for fans of Holly Jackson and Karen McManus this is the most addictive YA thriller I’ve read so far this year (I’ve read a fair few).

Ryan Shipley is back in Starling, Tennessee. It’s been 10 years since she left after her father, the infamous Starling serial killer, Gabriel Thorn murdered his final victim, her mum and was caught. No one an know who she is, or find the truth about her past but as Gabriel’s execution nears fresh eyes start looking into the case again, old secrets refuse to stay buried, crypic texts and a chilling letter start making everyone question if Ryan knows more than she’s letting on?

Must go back to reading now, I NEED ANSWERS.
