The Song of the Stars

Meet Merope – a small, shy star with a very big worry: she’s afraid she’ll never shine as brightly as the others. One night, Merope tumbles down from the sky and lands softly on a tuft of sheep’s wool caught among the thorns. From there begins a magical journey across earth and sky, as Merope slowly discovers that her light has been inside her all along.

Written with poetic charm by G?knur Birincioglu, this folktale-inspired story follows the dimmest star of the Pleiades as she scatters shimmering stardust, lighting a path through forest and night. With Merve Atilgan’s captivating, dreamlike illustrations, Merope’s radiant tale is one of courage, wonder and finding your own glow – perfect for bedtime reading and for any child who has ever felt a little unsure of their shine.
