Who Are We

Bags of Books is an independent children’s bookshop based in Lewes in East Sussex. We have been supplying wonderful children’s books to our local community from our beautiful 16th century shop for over 20 years.

We stock a wide range of children’s books, from the very earliest cloth books for newborns to the latest teenage thrillers. Hundreds of books pass through our hands everyday, from brand new releases to well-loved old classics, and we take time to look through them all so we can recommend just the right books for you. We pride ourselves on the very personal, specialist service we provide for all our customers.

You will find a range of very favourite books, toys and games here on the website. We’ve tried to make this site a reflection of our physical shop, by offering the very best quality, exciting, diverse books, that we know your children will love!
