Celebrating Pride

Celebrating Pride Month is a celebration of people coming together in love and friendship. It shows how far LGBTQ+ rights have come, and how in some places there’s still work to be done. LGBTQ+ stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and Queer. The + is an inclusive symbol to mean ‘and others’ to include people of all identities. This year is a significant year for the Pride movement and the LGBTQ+ community as we commemorate 50 Years since the first Pride took place in the United Kingdom.

At Bags of Books we are proud to supply a wide selection of children’s books that show a range of diversity. You can find below our favourite books for all ages that showcase an LGBTQ+ theme, to help with the celebrating of Pride Month.
